Shachi Doshi, MPH
Founder
Shachi Doshi is very passionate about improving access to health care for underserved communities around the world. She has over 12 years of experience in consulting numerous NGOs, global health foundations, hospitals, and Fortune 500 companies in defining their health care strategies and measuring the social and financial impact of health-related programs.
Currently, Shachi works at Genentech as the Patient Insights Director in the Strategy, Analytics, and Intelligence department. She focuses on a patient centric role where she is responsible for co-developing strategic initiatives to help patients access the medicines they need and evolving capabilities to ensure that the patient voice is captured in decision making. She is also currently pursuing a certification in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University.
Previously, as a global health consultant, she led analytical teams to design models to develop strategies on how to deliver a variety of vaccine products to over 115 countries. She was an advisor for the Global Pediatric Alliance, where she helped shape programs to reduce maternal mortality in Mexico. Shachi earned a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan.
Shachi loves using creativity to identify solutions to public health challenges facing the world today. Her vision for Colorful Minds is to further enable self-empowerment for people living with disabilities and motivate as many communities as possible to be agents of meaningful change.
Judie Henderson
Strategic Advisor
Judie Henderson is an international consultant who guides organizations, entrepreneurs, and individuals in their professional successes through risk mitigation. Her main focus is Rwanda, East Africa where she manages a nonprofit that promotes workforce development. Most recently, she introduced Colorful Minds to a Rwanda-based organization that employs women with disabilities, providing them with a liveable wage, in exchange for creating traditional papyrus & sisal handicrafts. Judie has provided strategic oversight to Colorful Minds since 2021, using her experience in the nonprofit sector, disability rights, and prehospital emergency healthcare to advise the collaborative team of volunteer board members.
Judie has an MA in International Policy Studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies with an undergraduate degree that focused on social work theories. She is a Truman Scholar, deeply committed to public health outcomes & workforce development and the founder of Next Step Rwanda. Judie believes that the overall health of a community is a determinant in the success of an economy and strives to make an impact through immersive experiences.
Amey Shroff
Strategic Marketing Volunteer
Currently, Amey works in the pharmaceutical industry where he surveys clinical trial landscapes to increase the competitiveness of his company’s clinical trials. He finds his role rewarding as it allows him to identify the patients with the highest unmet need, and influence his company to prioritize these needs. Amey is excited to grow his marketing skills through his work with Colorful Minds.
Salonee Thanawala
Marketing Communications Volunteer
Salonee is passionate about using her voice to advocate for equality especially for women and underrepresented populations. In college, she was part of WISH, A Women in Software and Hardware organization, where she led the Mentorship department, in hopes of building up a support system for women, especially those underrepresented in STEM majors. Currently, she works as a software engineer at Poshmark, where she gets to combine her love for fashion and technology. She’s had the opportunity to launch features that allow the community to grow their own businesses on Poshmark and enhance the communication channels for buyers and sellers on the platform. Before working at Poshmark, she was a consultant at Accenture, where she discovered her passion for meeting people, understanding their problems, and developing solutions.
She is excited to be a volunteer at an organization like Colorful Minds, because she wants to help close the gap for those with disabilities and empower those in need.
Falguni Mehta
Strategic Marketing Volunteer
Falguni Mehta is a senior business leader with 20 years of experience in building and executing global product strategies as well as marketing campaigns across healthcare, high-tech, and non-profit organizations. She has direct experience in building teams, identifying and incubating new product innovations, building awareness and generating leads through the full marketing pipeline, and working in emerging economies. Her most recent role was Head of Marketing at Octave Bioscience, a medtech startup focused on neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to this, she was Director of Strategy at Roche and held multiple leadership roles in marketing and strategy at Intel Corporation. Falguni graduated with her MBA from The Ross School of Business at University of Michigan.
Falguni is passionate about supporting social and economic development work in emerging markets, especially across the healthcare and education sectors. Having worked with local artisans and communities through CARE International as well as other NGOs, she is very excited to help Colorful Minds continue to grow their mission, positively impacting the lives of multiple people living in developing markets!
Frances Kim
Data Insights Volunteer
Frances has a passion for supporting people in translating their potential into tangible outcomes. This passion is rooted in her experience as a Museum Facilitator at The Lawrence Hall of Science, where she guided visitors through engaging activities with thoughtful questions and insightful feedback. Drawing parallels from this experience, Frances joined the Colorful Minds board of directors shortly after graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in applied mathematics. She plans to combine her passion for art with the mission of empowering international artisans with disabilities by sharing their products with a broader audience of consumers.
As a data analyst in the biotech industry, Frances provides data-based, decision-making processes to address public health challenges as the newest member of the Colorful Minds team. Her insights will enhance fundraising strategies by pinpointing the products that perform best at specific events, ultimately increasing donations to support the Colorful Minds mission.
