Meet the Artisans
These candle holders/diyas are made by students at the Jai Vakeel Foundation (JVF). JVF is one of the oldest and largest non profit institutions in India working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities. They are one of the very few that work with adults with severe disabilities to provide them with opportunities and over 75% of their students come from lower socioeconomic households. JVF’s approach is to support students through skill building that will help them maximize their potential so that they can become more self-reliant and lead fulfilling lives. JVF believes that a world that includes everyone is stronger for all.
