Meet the Artisan
He was born a healthy child but when he turned three, he fell sick. His legs stopped working properly and hasn’t been been able to walk again since. He had two dreams: to be a photographer and/or own a shop but finding customers was difficult and he didn’t earn enough. He was offered a job at Neema Crafts and the organization helped me make income and also helped him build a new house. Although he lives alone, he is happy because “his neighbours are his colleagues!” Now that he has managed to save enough money to fulfill one of his dreams, he has also started a little shop outside his house, which he runs on weekends and evenings. He hopes that this shop will continue to grow, so that maybe one day someone else can benefit from his job at Neema.
